The Grave Charges The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.” The Police Inquiry The charges come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital. Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
