Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to strengthen its aerial protection systems. Three initial manufacturers have begun manufacturing, with 11 more preparing to set up production lines, the defence ministry announced on Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Combat Situations

These UAVs utilize a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated effective “at night, under jamming and flying low,” officials stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of manufacturing as many as 1,000 interceptors daily.
