A previous senior officer of the UK's air and space warfare centre will deliver recommendations next month on how the state-backed organization can optimally help the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in defense, national security and information gathering.

Operational Restructuring

The institute's chair, a previous Amazon UK leader, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the 440-staff institute have been closed, spun out or completed because they aren't consistent with the fresh focus.

The center has faced workplace difficulties since last year as workers demonstrated against changes, culminating in a group of employees submitting a formal grievance to the proper supervisory commission.
